Unpacking To Pack

Compared to last weekend, this week has been blessedly quiet. Last Thursday marked the last day of school for my son Aidan. He had a blast on Friday and today he was “so bored.” I caught him counting days on the calendar until school is back in session. I’m not sure if I should be insulted or not =p I got very little done with my most recent acquisition of Breyers. It’s a constant battle around here to find room for anything much less hundreds of plastic horses. Listing horses for sale starts with unpacking them from whatever they were […]

Winding Up For Summer

Summer has always been a busy time of year. I have attended BreyerFest since it first started as a regional event. I have been fortunate enough to attend almost every single year. This year is the 25th Anniversary of BreyerFest and looks like it will be a great event. I have a lot of organizing and packing to do for the live show and it is only a month away, yikes! Last weekend was a busy one. We drove up to Eugene, Oregon to pick up a small collection of 50 NIB Breyers. We then continued on up to Portland […]

What Did You Say?!

Conversations around my house often go something like this: “Can you df.sdfds..?” “What?” “I said can you asdf.fadsf?!” “What? I can’t hear you!” “WHAAAAT?!” “STOP YELLING AT ME!” Between the three of us, we mumble a lot. And while he won’t admit it, Aidan has maxed his skill in selective hearing. Where am I going with this? Well… I have been receiving a discouraging number of broken Breyers in the mail. The most recent was a beautiful high dollar custom that arrived directly from the artist with a broken tail. This one really had me bummed. I shipped him back […]

Fun Pictures

Boy, it’s been another great weekend for sales. Thank you! We just finished packing 16 boxes and I still need to put together some larger orders to calculate combined shipping 🙂 I’m always happy to give a discount on shipping for orders that can be shipped in the same box, hint hint! I’m too tired to write up a blog post tonight but I will leave you with some fun pictures! Hubby was pretty proud of his “custom packing”. What a funny guy eh? I’ve been asked how many Skylanders we have. I um, don’t know? Here is the content […]

Where’s Aidan?

This is what my living room looked like yesterday. We have quickly discovered that space in this 1,200 square foot house is an erm, problem. I’m fairly certain that I could lose Aidan in the chaos if he would ever stop talking =D The shelf on the left wall is new. There is one above it too. I have been using those shelves to store horses that are currently at auction. The Breyer Clydesdales on the shelf with the sad case of Toilet Paper Head syndrome are sold and waiting to be shipped with some additional purchases 🙂 Everything […]

It’s A Record!

The Memorial Day weekend brought in a record number of sales for Aidan’s Toy Trove. The month of May has also been our highest dollar selling month to date. Thank you very much to all of our wonderful customers! As of Tuesday morning, we had 18 boxes on the porch, paid and ready for shipment. I added a few more before our mail pickup. This number didn’t include the orders that were still awaiting payment. I think that some cookies are owed to our wonderful mail lady =D Speaking of our wonderful mail lady, we have purchased a couple hundred […]
