Breyer Eldora and Sol – Decorator Cow & Calf
Meet Eldora and Sol 712234, a Holstein Cow and Calf in Vintage Gold Charm Pinto. They have a glossy finish. This pair of Breyer cows is available to current 2017 Breyer Collector’s Club Members. They are priced at $165 + $20.50 for domestic shipping bringing the total price to $185.50. I was surprised to see this set pop up for sale tonight. Breyer has been using many of the Breyer Animal molds for micro runs but Eldora and Sol are not a micro run. They are a run of 350 pieces. This makes me think that there will be no Breyer micro run for December. Breyer is making Eldora and Sol available exclusively to Collector’s Club members through December 6th at which time they may be offered for sale to the general public. Normally, I would say that a run of size would sell out before it ever reached the general public. However, Eldora and Sol are only exclusive to Collector’s Club members for roughly 24 hours and many people are strapped for cash with Christmas just around the corner.
We still have not seen a Breyer Silver Filigree this year and I have my doubts that we will see one. Interestingly, Breyer offered the Rosalind and Rigel Mystical Unicorn which sold out in under 2 months. Breyer never released a run size number for Rosalind and Rigel. The production runs size of Eldora and Sol makes me wonder if Rosalind and Rigel were more limited in number than past website special runs. However, they were popular molds in a beautifully executed color. I have a feeling that the unicorn set was attractive to even non Breyer collectors just as Eldora and Sol will be sought after by those that collect Breyer cattle.

Breyer St. Moritz a New Web Special Run
I’ll admit that I was rather pleased that Breyer’s Test Bay Roan Roy didn’t float my boat. However, St. Moritz just about knocked my socks off! He is the popular Esprit mold which was sculpted by Kathleen Moody. He is product number 712225. St. Moritz is what looks to be clearware with frosty blues and and contrasting pinks. He has snowflakes in his pattern.
St. Moritz is the perfect winter Web Special Run! I can’t help but wonder if this means there won’t be a silver filigree Web Special Run this year. But I’m okay with that, so long as a get a St. Moritz!
Current Breyer Collector’s Club members may enter once a day until November 12th, 2017 for the chance to purchase St. Mortiz. Winners will be drawn and notified on November 13th. St. Moritz will be a run of 380 pieces which is an increase from the normal 350 pieces. However, Java was limited to 255 pieces. The price of St. Moritz is $165 plus shipping which I anticipate will be a flat $17.50 for those living in the United States.
If you are logged into your Breyer Collector’s Club account you can see St. Moritz at this link.
Here is what Breyer has to say about St. Mortiz:
A Winter Web Special!
The magnificence of winter is on full display with St. Moritz! Sledding, ice skating and riding in fresh snow are wonderful ways to enjoy the season! Breyer’s St. Moritz is a spirited equine that looks like an ice sculpture and is decorated with frosty blues and warming pinks. Clear snowflakes and windy swirls adorn his sides for an elegant wintry motif. Limited to just 380 pieces, St. Moritz will be gone before the snow melts, so act fast! He is marked St. Moritz 2017 on his belly, and comes in a Breyer mail order box.

Breyer 2018 Stablemate Club Open Enrollment
Yup, it’s that time of year again! Time to pay all the new Breyer membership dues! Today is the first day to join the Breyer 2018 Stablemate Club! Next year’s models will be packaged in tiny boxes. Hobbyists have been producing tiny boxes like this for years and Breyer has finally decided to follow in their footsteps and offer official Breyer boxes for the Stablemate Club models!
I adore the boxes but I’m a bit nervous about potential box rubs. I very much liked the little satin bags that the past year’s Breyer Stablemate Club models have come packaged in. The bags worked wonderfully for storage and there was no chance of paint rubs caused by the packaging. The first Stablemate Club model of 2018 will be Kohana. He is the G3 Mustang mold which was sculpted by Jane Lunger. He is painted as a flashy bay roan pinto with mapped markings and Indian feathers in his mane. His color was designed by Australian artist Franceyn Dare whom I own several Breyer Customs Stablemates by. To my knowledge, Kohana is the first Breyer model that Franceyn has designed. How exciting!
I am in love with the new Mini Brishen mold. He truly looks to be a miniaturized version of the Traditional Scale Gypsy Vanner which was sculpted by Kathleen Moody.
The cost to join the Breyer 2018 Stablemate Club is $30 and must be joined by December 31st, 2017. There will be six Stablemates released with one of them being the Gambler’s Choice Model. The Breyer 2017 Stablemate Club was Fylkir. I received the bay pinto.
The new sculpt for the Breyer 2018 Stablemate Club will be an Arabian by Tabitha Pack. The $30 deposit will be applied towards each model which brings the price for each horse to $15 + shipping and handling. You must purchase every model or you will lose your spot in the Stablemate Club.
Here is a picture of all of the Breyer 2017 Stablemate Club horses.
Here is what Breyer has to say about the 2018 Stablemate Club:
Good things come in small packages!
The 2018 Stablemates Collector’s Club begins with Kohana, a stunning bay roan Mustang! Designed by talented Australian customizer Franceyn Dare, Kohana has MAPPED overo pinto markings and Indian feathers in his mane!
The Club will have six releases, one every other month, and will include a Gambler’s Choice (you’ll receive one of four colors, randomly selected), a mini me Gypsy Vanner, and a brand new Arabian sculpture by Tabitha Pack!
In addition to the great models, members will also receive insider information, and the opportunity to enter a raffle for a unique Stablemates collectible!
Join by 11:59pm EST, 12/31/17!
