BreyerFest Prize Guerreiro & My Almost Best Customs Contest Winner

Breyer is again holding the Best Customs contest at BreyerFest 2016. The prize model is
Guerreiro. He is the new Geronimo mold in a beautiful bay pinto. Breyer has this to say about him:
Meet Guerreiro, the Best Customs Contest Prize Model! Guerreiro, meaning warrior, is a striking Bay Pinto with markings that make him truly unique. We put him on one of our newest molds, No. 733, also known as Geronimo. As a prize for our Best Customs Contest Winners, we knew we needed something extra special! This prize will be awarded to the contestants that exhibit the best of the best in customizing, re-making and re-sculpting models! Only 5 of these models will be awarded (four in the Best Customs Contest and one in the Silent Auction) making him extremely rare. Last year at BreyerFest 2015, I was able to participate in the Best Customs contest in a bit of a roundabout way. 
I own a lovely Custom Breyer 
Belgian by Maggie Bennett by the name of Caesar. He was the Overall Reserve Champion Custom at the BreyerFest 2014 Open Show. As such, he is now retired from the BreyerFest show. When I heard about the new Breyer Customs Contest I offered to let Maggie show him. I adore this particular piece and felt that he deserved to be seen. Maggie entered him in the Most Drastic Custom division and Caesar was tied for first place with one other horse. The tie was broken by a Breyer employee and the winner was a lovely Custom Breyer Akhal Teke by the talented Melanie Miller. You can see more pictures of Caesar on Maggie’s website.
