All Of The Pretty BreyerFest 2016 Stablemates!
October 19, 2016 | Posted by aidanstoytrove under Model Horse |
These have been a very long time coming but I finally finished posting all of the BreyerFest 2016 Stablemates to the website. The BreyerFest 2016 Single Day Stablemates were all number 711235. They came packed in colorful Stablemate sized boxes. We have all of the BreyerFest 2016 Stablemates in stock and available for immediate shipment. I do anticipate offering some for sale as a complete set but I haven’t gotten around to making a listing for that yet. Please inquire at aidanstoytrove@gmail.com if you would like to purchase a set. There are links below to the individual horses.
Which Single Day Stablemate is your favorite?
I think the my personal favorites are Amapa and Bahia. But I am a big fan of the Spanish breeds and I am also naturally drawn to Para. Breyer did a great job on their Stablemate selection this year at BreyerFest!
I anticipated having problems acquiring the Breyer Mercado store Special Run 711248 Copacabana. But I think the brutal heat and humidity brought down the number of people willing to wait in line for him and I was able to snag some. It’s a bit hard to tell in the pictures but he is the G3 Mustang mold in a purple decorator with vibrant orange and red flames.

The Gambler’s Choice model is the one that I have been most excited about. And finally he is here! Which is your favorite color? I am partial to the glossy appaloosa and the wedgewood.

Breyer Stablemates Club 712188 Shiloh Is Now Available To Order
I won’t lie, I was HOPING that the third Stablemate Club release would be Josine Vingerling’s
new sculpt. But this glossy G4 Hanoverian sculpted by Jane Lunger is quite dashing as well. His name is Shiloh. I really like his shading and his flaxen mane and tail. Here is what Breyer has to say about Shiloh:
The Third Release in the 2016 Stablemates Club!
Introducing the 3rd release in the exclusive Stablemates Collectors Club: Shiloh! This athletic sport horse packs a lot in a small package: a dynamic extended trot featuring a beautifully shaded and very subtly dappled chestnut and white pinto coat topped off with a high lacquer
gloss finish. He shines in every way possible! He comes with his Club satin drawstring bag.
I do have a few Breyer 712188 Shiloh models for sale. If ordered soon enough they will ship directly from Breyer. Please allow additional handling time.
Breyer Stablemate 710897 Variations – What’s Goin’ On Here?

Breyer Stablemate 710897 Variations
We recently acquired a fairly large collection of G1 Stablemates. They took a while to identify as there were several models that looked very different but with identical markings. It turns out that there are some crazy variations in the Breyer #710897 1997 JC Penny Special Run Set. The plastic on some models is opaque and almost translucent in appearance while some of the others have a bright white, almost chalky look to them. Sadly, my Breyer reference guide is too old to hunt down any additional information on them! Any thoughts, opinions, experience, or info anyone has to clarify what’s going on here?

April 28, 2016 | Posted by aidanstoytrove under Model Horse |
Breyer Sao Paulo is the final Single Day Stablemate to be revealed by Breyer for BreyerFest Carnival 2016! He is a brand new sculpt on what I believe is the Stablemate mold being offered to Premier Club members this year as a miniature version of Geronimo. The BreyerFest special run is a pretty bay roan pinto. Sao Paulo is named after a municipality located in the southeastern area of Brazil. I am very curious to see what this new sculpt looks like in person! What are your thoughts on this new mold?
The BreyerFest Blog has this to say: The last of our BreyerFest Carnival Single Day Stablemates is a fine bay roan pinto on a new sculpt in the Stablemate line.
