Breyer Sanibel – New America the Beautiful Web Special Run

Breyer Sanibel – New America the Beautiful Web Special Run

Breyer Sanibel 712254

Breyer released the next Web Special Run, Sanibel. He is product number 712254. Sanibel was on display in the Collector’s Club Tent at BreyerFest 2018 and in my opinion, looked better in person than he does in Breyer’s pictures. He is the Breyer Huckleberry Bey mold in a pearly white dapple grey. In person, the pearl to his coat was not at all overwhelming. The pearl seemed to be a bit much on the BreyerFest 2018 Tent Special Run Dead Heat in the palomino appaloosas color.  The Huckleberry Bey mold comes with the dreaded clear plastic disc stand which I highly recommend replacing with a resin stand. Sanibel is limited to 350 pieces and is priced at $135. I assume that the shipping cost will be $17.50.

The last horse released in the America Beautiful Series was Rialto. He was the Totilas mold in a gorgeous glossy black leopard appaloosa. I was lucky enough to be drawn for Rialto but haven’t had the chance to open him  yet, eek. Breyer really did a spectacular job on his finish work. I do still think that my favorite horse in the America the Beautiful Series was Rainier (which we do have 1 available of, I’m keeping the other!)

The Eighth Release in the America the Beautiful Series

In 2018, Breyer’s America the Beautiful Series celebrates special places of beauty and wonder – our National Parks & Forests! From deep, dry canyons to soaring snowcapped mountains, to rolling hills and plunging waterfalls, these beautiful horses honor our country’s diverse landscape. Varied like our nation’s scenery, the horses in this series will delight your imagination and encourage you to explore!

The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge is located on Florida’s Sanibel Island. This barrier island is home to many migratory birds and mangrove trees. Encompassing over 6,000 acres, visitors to the refuge can see Roseate spoonbills year-round. These wading birds have a stunning pink coloring that intensifies as they age. Sanibel Island is also known for its incredible shell-covered beaches.

Breyer’s Sanibel is a pearly dapple rose grey – a nod to the natural beauty found on the island. With his mane and tail blowing in the breeze, you can just imagine him prancing along the surf at sunset! Sanibel comes with a clear removable base, and his belly is marked “Sanibel 2018.”

Your Price: $135.00
Limited Edition: 350 pieces

Our Breyer Mid Year Horses arrived at our store after we left for BreyerFest.  We are located on the opposite end of the country from Breyer and it takes a few extra days for shipments to reach us. Breyer Dundee 2018 Premier Club Special Run

Breyer Dundee 2018 Premier Club Special Run

Meet Dundee, the second release in the Breyer 2018 Premier Club. He is a spectacular dunalino pinto Australian Stock Horse. He was sculpted by Nikki Button and what a magnificent job Nikki did for Breyer on her very first sculpt for them! Dundee is performance friendly and is sure to be a performance shower’s dream.

Breyer Dundee 2018 Premier Club Special Run

As with Breyers other Premier Club reveal pictures, these photos are of the original resin. The plastic version will undoubtedly have its differences as it will be mass produced. The Breyer Premier Club Duende caused quite a stir over what the prototype looked like and how the production piece turned out. You can see pictures of the prototype Duende in my original Duende Blog Post.  I was admittedly disappointed with Breyer’s execution of Duende but Breyer absolutely blew it out of the park with Bristol. I have high hopes for Dundee (not to be confused with Duende, eck)!

Breyer Dundee 2018 Premier Club Special Run

I anticipate that Dundee will ship in August. While he is beautiful, I don’t envision myself keeping this one and my personal copy of Dundee will likely be for sale. None the less, I’m quite excited about Dundee’s impending release!

Breyer Woodrow and Jackpot BreyerFest 2018 Raffle Models

Breyer reposted the pictures of two of the BreyerFest 2018 Raffle models. Only 25 of each will be raffled off with 1 additional made for the auction. The first model is Woodford, the new Shire Gelding mold sculpted by Karen Gerhardt in a beautiful silver dapple pinto.

The second model is the brand new Breyer Premier Club Bristol mold in a spectacular chestnut leopard appaloosa. I just love this one (and Woodrow too!)

Here is what the BreyerFest Blog had to say about Woodford and Jackpot.

Over the last 28 years of BreyerFest, we have raised over $1,100,000 for charity! And it’s all thanks to our Breyer Fans!
The contributions came from the money raised in the Silent Auction, Live Auction, and the Breyer Benefit Raffles. Last year alone, more than $85,000 was donated to a wide variety of causes close to our heart.

As usual, we’re hoping for the biggest year ever. But we need your help!

There are several great ways you can contribute to our amazing beneficiaries!

Breyer Benefit Raffle

You’ve already met the Saturday and Sunday Benefit Raffles horses, Woodford and Jackpot. Each of the beautiful models is limited to 26 pieces (25 models for the Raffle and 1 model in the Live Auction). Our lucky winners will certainly be lucky to take home either of these handsome horses.
