Shipping can now be calculated by item weight for orders over 3 lbs. The old Flat Rate system is still available for all items and is the only option for items under 3 lbs. The Flat rate is based on your current location while the Weight Based is a flat per pound fee based on your country, and is intended for larger or combined orders.
