Breyer 9170 Connemara Pony
Who is that pony with the long flowing mane? This year, Breyer released a Breyer 9170 Connemara Pony as part of the Best of British series. He is the Newsworthy mold in a beautifully shaded sandy bay. It appears that there are 2 variations of this model. 1 has the braided mane and the braided tail. And 1 has the rarely seen flowing mane and loose tail.

I do have 3 of the Breyer 9170 Connemara Pony with the loose mane and tail in stock. You can find him on my website for cheaper than my price on eBay.
I believe to date, only the Connoisseur 90146 Golden Boy and Web Special 712175 Persimmons sported the loose mane and tail. I don’t have any photos of Golden Boy but if someone would be so kind as to let me use their picture I will happily post it here š
I was thrilled to receive 3 of the loose mane variation of the Breyer 9170 Connemara Pony from my distributor. Iām not sure what the exact numbers are for each variation. When I inquired about placing a second order, my distributor was kind enough to take a quick look at their stock. They randomly sampled 1 of their cases. Out of 6 models, 2 had the loose mane and tail and 4 had the braided mane and tail.
My best guess is that the 9170 Connemara Pony may be similar to the 1706 Indian Pony where 1 of 6 was chalky. Or likewise similar to the 1464 GG Valentine and Heartbreaker from where 1 of 6 sets was glossy. Again, this is just a guess. Does anyone have any further information? Iām curious to know!
