Breyer Duende Sneak Peek – The 2nd 2017 Premier Club Model
Breyer treated Premier Club members with a sneak peek of the second 2017 Premier Club model. His name is Duende and he was designed by the very talented Mindy Berg. I am a huge fan of Mindy Berg’s work. I have owned multiple custom Breyer Horses by Mindy and I’m confident that I will be also be a fan of Duende. The Spanish Horse lover in me makes me want to say this new sculpt will be a Spanish Breed and Duende certainly looks Spanishy to me! His gorgeous grey color and tinted blue eye are trademark Mindy as well. I’m not sure if Mindy also sculpted Duende but hopefully Breyer won’t keep us hanging TOO long.

I just paid for my True North and hadn’t even begun to think about the next Premier Club model. Duende is like icing on the cake as my main draw to the 2017 Premier Club was True North himself. True North was sculpted by Morgen Kilbourn and had his paintjob designed by Stephanie Michaud.
For fun, here is a picture of a Breyer Custom by Mindy Berg that I used to own. She was the BreyerFest 2016 Open Show Custom Overall Grand Champion.

The Best Breyer Gift – My Steampunk Breyer Wintersong
Breyer Custom Steampunk Wintersong
This model horse was an overwhelmingly generous gift from my friend and artist, Elayne Watrus. He is a one of a kind Breyer Custom Steampunk Horse on the Wintersong mold. Elayne kept trying to give me a gift horse at BreyerWest but I thought it too generous and I declined. A couple months later, Elayne sent me pictures of some of the customs that she had in progress. Hanging out in the crowd of half finished horses was this amazing Breyer Custom Wintersong. My jaw dropped when I saw him. This was the horse for me! I quickly offered to to purchase the Wintersong and this time Elayne refused.
Instead, she gifted him to me.
Meet Patches
Meet Patches. Underneath, he is the Breyer Wintersong mold but he is completely resculpted and is adorned with gears, screws, nuts and other fabulous fittings. During the creation process of this horse, he started to fall apart. And thus he was nicknamed Patches. You can click any of the pictures to enlarge them. Jaipur the Elephant Plushy A BreyerFest 2017 Special Run!
Meet Jaipur, ANOTHER BreyerFest 2017 plushy! Jaipur is the cutest pink elephant with embroidered details. BreyerFest 2017 is already offering Lotus, a black plusy Indian themed horse plushy.
Some of you guessed that the Sneak Peak of Lotus would be an elephant and I thought you were right. So guess what, you were right, there IS a plushy elephant! This is the first time in my memory that Breyer has offered 2 BreyerFest Plushies in a single year but I don’t follow plushies all that closely. I love both Jaipur and Lotus and hope to add them to my collection just for fun 🙂 Like Lotus, Jaipur will be offered in the BreyerFest Bazaar AKA the popup store.
