I Have The Perfect Dog

I have the perfect dog. His name is Lenny. He belongs to the neighbors’ but I like to think of him as mine. He sits on the porch when it is raining and waits for us to come and pet him. He follows me around the neighborhood and is a pro Pokemon tracker. He plays with Aidan and drives strangers and strange dogs away. He guards our packages on the porch until the mail is picked up. I don’t have to feed him. I don’t have to clean up after him. I don’t have to pay his vet bills. Lenny is the perfect dog!

I received this email from Breyer this morning and my heart skipped a beat. Could it be, that something special that we have all been waiting for from Breyer?! The featured horse is a lovely Palomino Wyatt. I clicked through to the website and something in the back of my head told me ‘wait, this horse looks familiar’. It took me until after my coffee was finished to realize that this is a rerelease of the Breyer 301153 Jesse who was 2015 Tractor Supply Company Special Run. The product number is even the same.
Breyer also did this with the 2014 Mid States Special Run Breyer 701727 Brabant Cross. This horse was later released on Breyer’s website as Breyer 701727 Brabant Mare.
I’m not fond of these rereleases but I understand why Breyer does it. I just wish they weren’t so sneaky about it! And I wonder what Tractor Supply and Mid States think about it…
New Breyer YouTube Video Series – Would This Interest You?

I used to be a very active shower. I am proud of the custom Breyer collection that I have. In recent years, the only show that I have attended is BreyerFest and I rarely have the chance show my horses to others. Due to some wonderful and persistent Instagram followers, I made a YouTube Video of one of my customs. She is a drastic reculpt of the Breyer Wixom by Sue Kern.

Aidan’s Toy Trove Cyber Monday Sale!

I had great intentions of making a new sale for Cyber Monday. Alas, I ran out of time. You would be amazed at the amount of time it takes to make a sale. The graphics, the scheduling, the programming, all those little things add up to hours of work. Who would have thought? I’ll admit that I took that lazy way out and simply extended our Thanksgiving Day Sales to encompass Cyber Monday. It’s still a great sale, the 10% off on the website was very popular this weekend 🙂 You can find information about the Thanksgiving Day sales in my previous post:
Breyer’s Cyber Monday Sale Is Live

I guess that there is an advantage to being on the West Coast and that’s being awake to see Breyer post their Cyber Monday Sale! There isn’t anything spectacular but there is Free Shipping on orders over $25 which is always my favorite kind of Breyer sale since their shipping is so high. There are a couple Breyer Classics Web Special Runs, Smokin’ Double Dutch, the NRHA Anniversary Reining Horse, the 9170 Connemara Pony and a few others. Be sure to take a look! Perhaps Breyer will sprinkle the website with some other goodies throughout the day 🙂
Having said that, I extended Aidan’s Toy Trove Thanksgiving Day Sale to last through Cyber Monday. I wanted to make a new sale but as usual, I ran out of time.
I don’t see anything on Breyer’s site that I need, but I will again look at this as a good thing. I’m holding out for another Christmas Special Run like Holly and Ivy 😉
