More Bubbleheads and the Creation of a Mountain (Yes Literally!)

11-09-15.1

Here is a picture of today’s bubbleheads. There was a little herd of Smokey’s too but I didn’t want to push my luck by standing them up =D Yesterday, I managed to knock the same horse over twice while taking pictures. Ugh! The final 12 boxes of this collection are on the way. I’m continually amazed by the spectacular packing job that the seller did. She certainly put a lot of time, care and cost into getting the horses to me safely. I am so thankful! So far, the big push has been to move out the literal mountain of New In Box horses that has taken over my entry way and garage and…oh no wait, if it’s not in a box it doesn’t count right?? The New In Box horses that I have listed are selling quickly but I’ve barely put a dent in the mountain. I would guess that I have around 200 NIB horses to list still! *HINT* I’m considering just about all offers on my New In Box Breyer inventory on eBay! There are a lot nice New In Box Breyers including some adorable Christmas horses like this Waiting For Santa Play Set:

Today’s Bubbleheads =)

Unpacking horses from the most recent collection has been slow due to limited space and the sheer number of horses. Here is a picture of some of the horses that have been pulled out today 🙂

Are Those Ponies On My Porch?

October was a whirlwind month here at Aidan’s Toy Trove. Aidan has been active in after school activities and I feel more than a little like a chaffeur. I purchased another collection of approximately 900 Breyers. They have been shipping in 18 x 18 x 24 inch boxes and arriving in batches of approximately a dozen boxes.

The little local post office here has been overwhelmed with the mountain of boxes to deliver but they have been terrific about getting them to me. I do believe that there are only 2 more batches of boxes still coming. 1 batch is due to arrive this coming week and the other has yet to ship. We ended up renting a storage unit to accommodate the horses and have been doing a lot of sorting to shuffling to keep the new in box inventory here at the house. Crescent City is on the ocean and the weather is extremely humid. We run a dehumidifier both in the house and in the garage to keep the boxes from turning to mush. This isn’t an option for the storage unit and presents a new challenge to us, especially with the rainy season setting in.

This is a very nice Breyer collection and here is a bit of what I unpacked and cleaned today:
