For sale is a Traditional Scale Breyer Golden Boy 90146 Connoisseur Newsworthy. He is the Newsworthy mold with a loose mane and tail in a beautiful red dun. He has detailed primitive markings and is just stunning in person. Golden Boy was produced in 2008 as the 35th model in the Connoisseur Series. He was limited to 350 pieces. The Connoisseur Series was described by Breyer as ‘collectibles that represent the pinnacle of Breyer’s imagination, artistry and craftsmanship.’ The Connoisseur series was later replaced by the Premier Club Series and is comparable in quality.
Golden Boy, sculpted by Sue Sifton, carries a young rider with the steadiness and style that befits his name. His lovely red dun coloration and primitive striping on the legs, make him a horse of a different color for the show ring. To go with his fancy jump, Golden Boy has quite a bit of chrome – three stockings and a blaze!
He is hand numbered 224/350 on his underbelly. Golden Boy comes complete with his COA and blue velvet bag.
Golden Boy is in Near Excellent condition. He has some possible rubs or paint flaws on his outer left front hoof and coronet. This would be an easy fix. Please refer to the pictures for the exact condition. For my reference, this is #90156KVA.
