Today, Breyer revealed this lovely dapple liver chestnut Trakehner as part of the BreyerFest 2017 Live auction. He is an old mold sculpted by Chris Hess but his fabulous color breathes new life into the mold!

This Trakehner is a Flaxen Dapple Liver Chestnut and was sculpted by Chris Hess way back in 1979. He certainly looks pretty good for his age and has made a few appearance at the BreyerFest Live Auction over the years.

Update: The Horses are Loaded and En Route To BreyerFest – Special Requests Are Now Closed
We are getting ready to close up shop and hit the road. Aidan’s Toy Trove will soon be BreyerFest bound, woohoo! We will have a very limited amount of space in the car and we are only bringing enough sales horses to fill the empty space in the car (which isn’t much!) I’ll be bringing 50 Custom Breyer Horses for the BreyerFest Open Show and after they are all packed properly, they take up quite a bit of space. Aidan of course takes up one full seat (how could he?!). Here is what we are planning on bringing:
Custom Breyer Steampunk Horses by Elayne Watrus (around a dozen, I haven’t taken a final count.)
I am an official Copperfox Ambassador. We are bringing a large number of Coppefox Horses. If I had to guess, there are close to 100. Yes we have Superman (second quality only)!

The First Quality horses take up a lot of space with their boxes (wonderful as they are!) We managed to fit a large quantity of these into the car and have at least 1 of each. We could not bring them all. These First Quality Copperfox Horses take up a huge amount of car space. Pretty please come and give a Copperfox Horse a new home 🙂

We will not have a sales booth but we will be selling from Room 228 at the Clarion. I believe that this is on the second floor above the lobby. We will open our room as soon as we have finished setting up on Thursday which will likely be sometime in the evening. We aim to be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening but as it’s just us, we will have to sneak out for dinner at some part. We will be set up to take cash or credit. Breyer Test Color Grullo Peruvian Paso Lottery For Collector’s Club
Breyer is offering another Test Color Lottery for Collector’s Club members. This time is the Peruvian Paso mold in a lovely slate grullo. Breyer Collector’s Club members can enter once a day through July 10th for a chance to purchase this horse. His price is $850. Here is what Breyer has to say about the Test Color Grullo Peruvian Paso:
Exclusively for Breyer Collector Club members! Breyer test run models are initial decos painted up to see how a particular color might look on a particular sculpture. Or, they may be created to test out a painting technique or new colorway. Not all test run models are used, and they may vary over time as different painting techniques are developed and tested. Test run models are sold as is, with several photos and descriptions of any wear. Each model has a fixed price and interested members enter a random draw for the ability to purchase the test piece. Only 1 test model is available at this time.
Introducing a pearly slate grullo on the 576 Peruvian Paso mold! This lovely fellow has high contrast shading, dark topline, leg barring and detailed eyes. His rich coloring is stunning! His presence has graced our offices long enough and it’s time for him to bring joy to someone new! This test piece has a few minor rubs on the bottoms of his hooves and a slightly raised seam on his face. We’ve decided not to attempt to touch up older test runs as we’ve found that this can alter their character and uniqueness. This test run Peruvian Paso is priced at $850 and comes with a certificate of authenticity. See gallery of photos for more views of his coat color!

Today Breyer revealed an absolutely GORGEOUS Glossy Grulla or possibly dapple grey Working Cow Horse for the BreyerFest 2017 Live Auction. This mold was sculpted by the very talented Morgen Kilbourne and was first released for the Premier Club as a Bobby Jo. Her current release is:

Bobby Jo was sculpted by Morgen Kilbourn and introduced in 2015 as a part of the Premier Collection. This model is a luxurious glossy dapple silvery grullo.
The Working Cow Horse model will be appearing at BreyerFest as Paint Me a Pepto and Madhuri, our crystal horse. Talk about a perfect trifecta!

Breyer revealed a gorgeous glossy red dun Giselle as their next BreyerFest 2017 Live Auction Lot. It’s been a while since Breyer released a new color on the Giselle mold and it’s nice to see that she will be used as part of the test color auction. Lot 18 is a glossy red dun on Brigitte Eberl’s warmblood mare mold, #709. The warmblood mare mold is currently in the line as GG Valentine and Heartbreaker and was last year’s Collector Club Weekend Event Model, Chesapeake.
