October was a whirlwind month here at Aidan’s Toy Trove. Aidan has been active in after school activities and I feel more than a little like a chaffeur. I purchased another collection of approximately 900 Breyers. They have been shipping in 18 x 18 x 24 inch boxes and arriving in batches of approximately a dozen boxes. We had a great time at BreyerFest this year! Typically, my husband, myself and my son fly to BreyerFest. This year was a bit different. My husband and son left 4 days earlier than me and drove from California to Kentucky. Until now, I have always flown my show horses. Doing so required a lot of packing and a lot of nailbiting. Both the internet and Ebay are behaving badly today. I was in panic mode this morning when I found that I couldn’t print shipping labels for my already paid and packaged orders. Much to my relief, I was able to get things working just enough to print those labels but that is all I was able to accomplish today. I had some new stuff to list to Ebay today. My BreyerFest model inventory was running low and quite honestly, it was probably a good thing. I went a bit overboard this year and purchased several tent special run tickets. I scored some nice horses but no Silver Charms. And then, last month, Breyer offered the BreyerFest Tent Special Run leftover models to ticket purchasers through their website. Compared to last weekend, this week has been blessedly quiet. Last Thursday marked the last day of school for my son Aidan. He had a blast on Friday and today he was “so bored.” I caught him counting days on the calendar until school is back in session. I’m not sure if I should be insulted or not =p I got very little done with my most recent acquisition of Breyers. Conversations around my house often go something like this: “Can you df.sdfds..?” “What?” “I said can you asdf.fadsf?!” “What? I can’t hear you!” “WHAAAAT?!” “STOP YELLING AT ME!” Between the three of us, we mumble a lot. And while he won’t admit it, Aidan has maxed his skill in selective hearing. Where am I going with this? Boy, it’s been another great weekend for sales. Thank you! We just finished packing 16 boxes and I still need to put together some larger orders to calculate combined shipping I’m always happy to give a discount on shipping for orders that can be shipped in the same box, hint hint!
