Breyer Rainier Unboxed On Video With Major Seam Split
Aidan’s Toy Trove unboxes the Breyer Web Special Run Rainier on video for the very first time! He is the popular Wintersong or Othello mold in a breathtaking black roan pinto. Unfortunately, this Rainier has some pretty significant flaws and will likely be returned to Breyer. Please scroll to the bottom of this post to see Rainier’s YouTube Videos.
I was lucky enough to win one of the Breyer 2017 Web Special Run Rainier model horses. I was very excited about adding this stunning horse to my collection. I was heartbroken to find that Rainier had some major flaws. The most severe being a crack and a gap in his mane where the mold was imperfectly put together. I later learned that this is a common flaw with Rainier and opted to share so that others can see exactly what the flaw looks like.
He also has some odd yellow staining on the top of his rump but this is minor compared to his seam split.
I contacted Breyer about obtaining a replacement Rainier several days ago but I have not heard back from them. I’m guessing that with so many people having problems with their Rainiers, that Breyer is behind on processing returns and exchanges. As Rainier was limited to 350 pieces, I wouldn’t be surprised if Breyer has run out of replacement horses. I will be very disappointed if I am not able to receive a replacement for my flawed Rainier. I was really looking forward to this one!
