Breyer Crystal and Crispin YouTube Video Review! Past Holiday Mare & Foal Sets

To date, Breyer has released 3 Holiday Mare and Foal sets. The first set was released in 2014 and were named Vixen and Blitzen. They were the Running Mare and Running Foal molds in matching bay pintos. They had red and green blankets.
In 2015 Breyer released Eve and Claus. They were the Thoroughbred Mare and Suckling foal in red roan. They had green blankets with red trim.
Breyer recently released their 2016 Holiday Mare and Foal set, 712184 Crystal and Crispin. They are the Grazing Mare and the Grazing Foal molds. I really like the coloration on this set. The mare’s dapples are very nicely done and not too symmetrical. The foal has nice soft shading. The mare is stamped Happy Holidays Breyer 2016 on her underbelly. The blankets are blue with snowflakes and appear to be high quality. The blankets have realistic buckles on the girth straps. There is a piece of plastic wrap protecting the horses from the blankets. I will note that I personally have had problems with Breyer blankets bleeding color right through the plastic and I opted to store my Crystal and Crispin without their blankets on. As with all of the Holiday Mare and Foal sets, Crystal and Crispin come in a plain mail order box. There is no retail box in which to display them.
